What started as searching Etsy for a gift for my best friend turned into something I never expected. Here’s the story behind The Pink Theologian shop and the theology that started it all.

Easter is when we remember and rejoice in the redeeming work of Jesus on the cross. And spring, bursting with new life, is a beautiful picture of renewal and coming alive again. Together, they give us two vivid images of redemption at work in our lives.

I celebrate the Fourth of July not because I think America is perfect but because I believe in the God-given ideals it was founded on: freedom, justice, and the dignity of every person. As a Christian, I’m grateful to live in a country where I can worship freely, speak boldly, and participate in shaping our future. Patriotism isn’t about ignoring our past; and it’s about honoring what is good and striving to live up to the truths we profess.

Christian creativity isn’t about “art for art’s sake,” but “art for God’s sake.”It’s not about turning every project into a sermon; it’s about creating with purpose, excellence, and love, knowing that God is your ultimate audience. Good art, whether it is religious or not in content, glorifies God because it seeks to demonstrate the image of God. Good art stirs up emotions inside each and every one of us because, for that moment, we are connected again with our Creator. 

The primary source for us to hear the voice of God is to read our Bibles. But we need to know how to read our Bibles. Women, as image-bearers of God, as people who need Christ, who need a Savior, are vessels of the gospel. This means that we as women are just as responsible for sharing the gospel as any role you think only a man should have. Whether you are a CEO, teacher, nurse, stay-at-home mom, student, or anything else, you are responsible for sharing the gospel. And for that reason, we need training. Just as you would for any significant moment, you need training to grow and complete your calling. As such, we as women can take the difficult truth, we need deep theology, and we need to study apologetics to disciple those God has placed in our lives to defend and grow our faith in an adversarial world.
